Lahore, The Forman Christian College University recently hosted the twelfth edition of its prestigious Model United Nations, known as FORMUN XII. Under the theme “Bridging Cultures,” this extracurricular and educational event gathered over 350 delegates from various institutions across Pakistan. The participating institutions included Kinnaird College, CMH, Roots, LCWU, UVAS, UMT, Kavish, LGS TS, LGS Gulberg, Saint Anthony’s, UCP, ICLS, and Quaid-e-Azam University.
According to Forman Christian College, the four-day event comprised six committees, including UNHRC, CRISIS WW2, UN Women, PNA, among others, offering a dynamic platform for participants to engage in diplomatic dialogues on global issues. FORMUN XII was supported by notable sponsors such as Euro Oil, Master Paints, Waseem Jewellers, Papa Johns, and Premier.
A highlight of FORMUN XII was the guest speaker session, featuring Muneeb Nawaz, Amrat Ahmad, Abdul Wasay, Ajmal Jami, and Salman Haider. The second day of the event featured a Social Responsibility Program which included hosting children from the Ruhil Foundation, highlighting the event’s focus on fostering community connections and social responsibility.
The event’s activities ranged from cultural experiences like a DJ night and Shab e Zouq, to academic challenges like an intense master round. The closing ceremony marked the culmination of the event, leaving a lasting impact on all participants. The twelfth edition of FORMUN at FCCU not only provided a platform for learning and diplomacy but also showcased the university’s commitment to inclusive and dynamic education.
FORMUN XII successfully continued the legacy of Forman Christian College University in promoting extracurricular excellence and skill development, reinforcing its status as a leader in providing holistic educational experiences.
