Emergency Preparedness Pakistan Presents Student-Led Innovation and Community Awareness Initiative

Islamabad: Emergency Preparedness Pakistan (EPP) conducted a project presentation at the KHINAMS Auditorium, highlighting its vision and objectives to promote student-led innovation in emergency preparedness. Distinguished guests, including Brig Dr Ambreen Sohail (Retd.) and other notable figures, attended the event to recognize the efforts of EPP's cabinet members.

According to National University of Medical Sciences, the initiative was founded by Syed Jawad Ali, a student at the university, in May 2025. EPP aims to enhance emergency awareness and lifesaving education through sessions and collaborations with organizations like Rescue 1122 and Pakistan Youth Parliament. The initiative has focused on various aspects of emergency training, including Basic Life Support, CPR, and mental health awareness.

Supported by a core cabinet, EPP has worked to expand its outreach and impact. Among its future goals is the publication of Pakistan's first book on emergency preparedness. The initiative also plans to launch research projects, fellowship programs, and the National Emergency Youth Summit to further its mission of advancing emergency education and youth leadership across the nation.

The presentation served to inspire students to engage in healthcare awareness, emergency response education, and community service, underscoring the importance of youth-led initiatives in fostering a culture of preparedness and public well-being.
