Lahore: The Civil Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering recently conducted a series of tests on neoprene rubber bearing pads for Packages Industries Pvt. Ltd. The assessments focused on the performance characteristics of the pads, which are vital for bridge supports and other infrastructure applications.

According to University of Central Punjab, the testing was carried out to evaluate the compression loading, deformation, and sustained loading performance of the bearing pads, ensuring they met the specific requirements set by Packages Industries. The tests included three samples, each with dimensions of 300 mm × 300 mm × 50 mm. Two of these samples were provided by Packages Industries, while the third was sourced from Rainbow Ltd., Karachi. Upon the completion of the testing process, the department compiled a comprehensive report and shared it with Packages Industries Pvt. Ltd.
