Lahore, June 29, 2021 (PPI-OT): Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh visited the national volleyball camp at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall here on Monday. As many as 27 players from across the country are participating in the camp. Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh also witnessed the camp training of national volleyball players. The camp probables were also introduced with Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh. Pakistan Volleyball Federation Chairman Ch Yaqoob, Director Sports Hafeez Bhatti and other officials were also present on this occasion.
After the camp training, the national volleyball team will participate in Asian Volleyball Championship scheduled to be organised in Japan from Sept 12 to 19, 2021. Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) is organising the two-month volleyball camp with the collaboration of Sports Board Punjab under the supervision of Iranian coach Rehman Mohammadi.
Talking on this occasion, Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh said the game of volleyball has been included U-16 Games being organized in near future. “We are also planning to hold a volleyball championship in DG Khan in the coming months”. Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh urged the camp probables to polish their skills during the 2-month camp. “The game of volleyball is quite popular among our youth. Pakistan has plenty of volleyball talent,” he added.
