Karachi, DHA Suffa University recently underwent a significant evaluation as the National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC) conducted a zero accreditation visit for its newly launched Artificial Intelligence Program. This preliminary assessment is crucial in setting academic and operational standards for the program.
According to DHA Suffa University, the visit was attended by notable academics including Prof. Dr. Syed Asif Ali from Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU). The session was led by the university’s Vice Chancellor, Brig. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saeed Minhas, with substantial support from Dr. Ahmad Hussain, Dean of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Mr. Noor Ali, Head of the Computer Science Department, and Dr. Najeeb ur Rehman Malik, Program In-charge of AI.
The visiting team’s assessment focused on the curriculum, faculty qualifications, infrastructure, and available resources necessary to support the Artificial Intelligence program. The presence of university faculty members Dr. Shama Siddique, Mr. Zahid Hussain, and Ms. Sumera Rounaq ensured a comprehensive review of the program’s readiness to meet educational standards.
This zero accreditation visit is a preliminary step in the accreditation process, intended to ensure that the new program meets the rigorous requirements set forth by NCEAC before it fully commences.
