Bahawalpur, July 11, 2023 (PPI-OT): Department of Architecture has been established in the Faculty of Engineering, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, which is recognized by the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP). To enhance the capacity of the faculty of the department, a training workshop was organized in collaboration with the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners. Renowned architect AR Sikander Ajam was invited to deliver extensive lectures to discuss the topics of architecture pedagogy, history, mission and vision, studio policy, and holistic view.

Consultant AR Sikander Ajam trained the faculty for the upcoming fall session 2023 of the first year of the BArch program, highlighted the history of architecture schools, and delivered a short lecture on the studio culture policies of national and international architecture schools. He also presented the studio classification policy and interacted with the design and architecture faculty. He appreciated the establishment of the architecture department in the university according to the vision of Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob.
