Lahore, May 16, 2022 (PPI-OT):To mark World Oral Health Month in March 2022, the Department of Community and Preventive Dentistry at the University College of Dentistry (UCD), the University of Lahore (UOL) organized a series of seminars, workshops, and health camps, one of which was organized at the Trust School, Sabzazar Campus, Lahore.
The major goals were to raise awareness regarding oral hygiene, tooth diagnosis, and medication prescription. The dental faculty, including members from the Department of Community Dentistry, House Surgeons, and second-year BDS Dental students, examined the overall oral health of the parents and children.
The students took an active role during the camp by asking probing questions about oral health. In the end, goody bags promoting oral health were provided to attendees in association with Colgate and Palmolive. Ms. Madeeha Anees (School Campus Head) praised the visiting team’s efforts and expressed gratitude to Dr. Arooj ul Hassan (HoD Community and Preventive Dentistry, UCD) for his kind coordination and assistance with the camp. Prof. Dr. Riaz Ahmad Warraich (Principal, UCD) praised the organizing team’s and sponsors’ contributions and encouraged the continuation of such oral health-awareness campaigns.
