Islamabad, Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya (TNFJ) marked Baqir Uloom Day with religious zeal, emphasizing the significance of following the life and teachings of Hazrat Imam Muhammad Baqir (A.S.) as a solution to contemporary issues, especially in the context of materialism and extremism.
According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, the head of TNFJ delivered a poignant speech during the Mahfil-e-Noor at the Headquarters Maktab Shia on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Hazrat Imam Muhammad Baqir (A.S.). The leader highlighted that embracing the character of Imam Muhammad Baqir is crucial in the current era, particularly to combat terrorism and to enforce strict measures against banned groups, including disqualifying them from participating in general elections.
The celebration of Baqir Uloom Day was conducted with various events across the country. These events included Milad celebrations, conferences, and other programs, where participants expressed their devotion and offered prayers for the progress of Islam, the stability and development of Pakistan, and the success of Pakistani soldiers in combating terrorism.
Allama Muqdisi, in his address, detailed the lineage and virtues of Hazrat Imam Muhammad Baqir, noting his unique position as being Hussaini on his father’s side and Hashini on his mother’s side. He elucidated the meaning of ‘Baqir’, referring to one who reveals the subtleties of knowledge. He elaborated on Imam Baqir’s contributions to Islamic knowledge, including his influence on scholars like Imam Abu Hanifa.
The speech also touched upon the admirable qualities of Hazrat Imam Muhammad Baqir, such as his knowledge, asceticism, piety, and chastity. Emphasis was placed on his role in fighting against cruel and oppressive rulers of his time, showcasing his courage and resilience in the face of tyranny.
The TNFJ leader’s speech underscored the importance of embodying the teachings of Imam Baqir, particularly his principles of causing no harm, patience, and forgiveness, as guiding principles for addressing current social and political challenges.
