Karachi, At a pivotal rally in Naseerabad, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari emphasized the need for new leadership in Pakistan, contrasting the PPP’s vision with that of current political rivals. He expressed concerns over the possible lack of development in Balochistan if PML-N were to gain power and promised significant national projects under PPP governance, including the Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline and resolving the Kashmir issue.
According to Pakistan People’s Party, while addressing a grand public meeting in Dera Murad Jamali, Naseerabad district of Balochistan, highlighted the dissatisfaction among the people of the four provinces with the current rulers in Islamabad. He criticized the repeated selection of the same leaders and urged the public to reject this cycle.
Zardari spoke of the external and internal challenges facing Pakistan, emphasizing the poor state of relations with neighboring countries and the losses borne by the people of Balochistan, Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh. He argued that the PPP, with its long history of serving the people, should be elected to address these challenges, contrasting its approach with other parties that he claimed would prioritize the wealthy over the poor.
Promising to implement a 10-point People’s Economic Manifesto, Zardari detailed his plans to double salaries, provide free electricity to poor families, and establish free education and health institutions in every district of Balochistan. He pledged to build a university and a hospital in Naseerabad, and highlighted the PPP’s past initiatives in land distribution and housing schemes for flood victims, questioning why similar measures were not implemented in Naseerabad.
Zardari also announced the introduction of Kisan Card, Mazdoor Card, and Youth Card for financial support and a hunger eradication program under PPP governance.
Stressing the choice between new thinking and old politics, Zardari positioned himself as a candidate focused on changing the destiny of the people through service. He called for the support of Balochistan’s electorate, promising a transformation in the region’s health system.
Reiterating his commitment to solving the issues of terrorism and missing persons, Zardari expressed solidarity with the affected families and assured resolution of these issues under his leadership.
In his concluding appeal, Zardari urged the people of Naseerabad to vote for PPP candidates Mir Chingiz Khan Jamali, Mir Sadiq Imrani, Babu Ghulam Hussain, Hasan Ali Jamali, Mir Ghulam Fareed Raisani, Faisal Khan Jamali, and Maula Dad Khan in the elections scheduled for February 8.
