Baku, The Republic of Azerbaijan has launched the “Heydar Aliyev – International Education Grant Program” for the 2024-2025 academic year, offering scholarships for international students to pursue various levels of higher education at top Azerbaijani universities.
According to Pak NGOs, the program, jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, will support 100 international students annually for five years. The scholarships cover full tuition, monthly allowances, international flights, medical insurance, and visa and registration costs for undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and medical residency programs, as well as language preparatory courses.
The scholarship aims to enhance human capital development in participating countries by providing education in fields like general medicine and engineering among others. Applicants must meet specific age and language proficiency requirements depending on their education level. The application deadline is set for May 20, 2024.
