Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Celebrates Filmi Music with “Dance Junction Volume II”

Karachi, In a vibrant tribute to the legacy of Pakistani filmi music, the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi successfully held the “Dance Junction Volume II” event at its Open Air Theatre. The event brought together renowned artists and new talents to deliver captivating performances that resonated with the spirit of Pakistan’s rich musical and dance heritage.

According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, the event saw special participation from the President of the Arts Council, Muhammad Ahmed Shah, celebrated dancer Wahab Shah, and others like Nighat Chaudhry and Yousha, including instructors from the Arts Council Dance Academy. Muhammad Ahmed Shah addressed the audience, affirming the Arts Council’s commitment to nurturing fine arts and culture in a secure and supportive environment. He clarified that the institution promotes a wholesome expression of art, countering any association of indecency with cultural practices.

The “Dance Junction” event, which included performances by various dancers and dance groups, served as a platform for nearly a hundred aspirants who auditioned, many performing on stage for the first time. Wahab Shah praised the youth for their creativity and encouraged them to use the Arts Council as a venue to further their artistic expressions.

The evening culminated with a spectacular finale by Wahab Shah, and the audience was treated to enchanting renditions of classic songs from icons like Nazia Hassan, Sajjad Ali, and Abrar Ul Haq. This showcase not only entertained but also highlighted the Council’s role in promoting new talent and supporting children who strive to elevate their professions and talents without financial burden.
