Arts Alumni Festival 2026 Celebrates Creativity and Talent at Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi

Karachi: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi officially inaugurated its three-day "Arts Alumni Festival 2026," featuring a vibrant opening ceremony that highlighted creativity, culture, and emerging artistic talent. The festival commenced with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Alumni Art Exhibition led by renowned humorist and intellectual Anwar Maqsood, alongside Arts Council President Muhammad Ahmed Shah. The event was attended by prominent figures from the artistic community, alumni, and students, showcasing 31 artworks by 19 emerging artists.

According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, the festival also marked the second convocation ceremony of the School of Visual and Performing Arts. Distinguished guests included Iraq's Consul General Dr. Maher Mjhid Jejan and senior journalist Ghazi Salahuddin, among others. During the convocation, 55 graduating students were awarded degrees in various artistic disciplines, with top honors in Theatre, Music, and Fine Arts. The event featured performances, including a mesmerizing classical presentation by Esha Tamseel and a violin performance by Kazim and Hassan, which captivated the audience.

The festival will continue until May 10, offering a diverse array of theatre, music, live performances, and art exhibitions, aimed at celebrating the artistic contributions of alumni and providing learning opportunities for emerging artists.
