Islamabad, The Faculty of Arabic at the Female Campus of the International Islamic University Islamabad hosted a comprehensive five-day training workshop aimed at enhancing the skills of Arabic language teachers from various institutions across the twin cities.
According to International Islamic University Islamabad, the workshop was designed to provide teachers with deeper knowledge of Arabic, improve their teaching methods, and boost their professional development and confidence. The event was inaugurated by the Dean of the Faculty of Arabic, Prof. Dr. Fazlullah, who emphasized the critical role teachers play in nation-building and the value of such educational opportunities.
Dr. Samia Nazish, the in-charge of the Faculty of Arabic at the Female Campus, welcomed the participants and introduced them to the faculty’s departments and programs. She expressed a commitment to continuing such workshops to further support the development of Arabic language education.
The workshop featured sessions on Arabic teaching methodologies led by noted scholars, including Dr. Aliya Akram, Prof. Dr. Sawsan Hassanein Elhodhod from Jamia tul Azhar in Egypt, and Dr. Fouzia Mir Taj. These sessions covered a range of topics, from the intricacies of Arabic phonetics and grammar to the application of Qur’anic verses in understanding language depth and the impact of phonetic changes on meanings.
The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, recognizing the participation and newly acquired skills of the attending teachers. The successful workshop highlighted the ongoing efforts to elevate Arabic language education in the region.
