Applications Open for the William P. Fuller Fellowship in Peacebuilding

San Francisco, The Asia Foundation is now accepting applications for the William P. Fuller Fellowship in Peacebuilding, aimed at nurturing the professional growth of emerging leaders dedicated to conflict resolution and peacebuilding in Asia and the Pacific. This prestigious program seeks to forge strong networks among fellows and the wider global community of peacebuilders, enhancing the capacity and impact of their work.

According to Pak NGOs, the fellowship will support three individuals annually, emphasizing a cohort model to facilitate deep professional connections and collaborative learning. Scheduled for October 12 to October 26, 2024, with additional virtual seminars in August and September, the program is tailored for early to mid-career professionals up to age 40 who demonstrate leadership potential in peacebuilding across various sectors, including research, advocacy, and policy-making.

The core of the fellowship is a study tour and peacebuilding exchange in the San Francisco Bay Area and Washington, D.C., offering direct engagement with leading experts and organizations in the field. Additionally, each fellow will receive a $5,000 USD Professional Development Award to fund a tailored project or initiative that advances their peacebuilding work.

Eligibility for the fellowship is broad, inviting applicants under 40 from a wide range of Asian and Pacific countries, with a passion for peacebuilding and a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience. Fluent English and the ability to commit to the program’s schedule are also required.
