Karachi: The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi organized a condolence reference to honor the memory of Syed Abid Rizvi, a well-known broadcaster, writer, and social activist, at the Haseena Moin Hall. According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, Muhammad Ahmed Shah highlighted the difficulty of organizing a condolence gathering for a cherished individual. He spoke of Rizvi’s compassionate nature and his significant contributions to literature and the Arts Council. Shah reflected on Rizvi’s spiritual dedication and his role in supporting literary gatherings, particularly during the early years of the World Urdu Conference.
Prof. Sahar Ansari praised Rizvi's enthusiasm and dedication to literature, noting his efforts in involving prominent literary figures in cultural events. Journalist Hassan Abbas shared personal anecdotes, emphasizing Rizvi’s profound impact on the literary community and his personal life. Dr. Fatima Hassan recounted her long friendship with Rizvi and his unwavering support. She highlighted his contributions to Anjuman Taraqqi-e-Urdu and his success in various spheres of life.
Syed Sohail Rizvi, Rizvi’s son, expressed gratitude to the Arts Council for the memorial, noting his father’s passion for knowledge, literature, and service to others. Owais Adeeb Ansari acknowledged Rizvi’s role in transforming Anjuman Taraqqi-e-Urdu into a respected institution, reflecting the cultural traditions of Lucknow in his personality.
