KARACHI: The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi recently organized a reception to honor Arif Zaffar Mansuri, Chairman of Friends of Pakistan, USA, recognizing his contributions to enhancing Pakistan-US relations, supporting the Pakistani community, and promoting the nation's literature, arts, and culture. The event was attended by notable figures from various sectors, including arts, literature, journalism, and education.

According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, the ceremony was led by President Mohammad Ahmed Shah and featured speeches that highlighted Mansuri's efforts in fostering a positive image of Pakistan internationally. Shah emphasized that the Arts Council acknowledges individuals who have significantly contributed to society, citing Mansuri's work in promoting Pakistan’s culture and interests abroad. The event included a showreel showcasing Mansuri's services and was moderated by Dr. Huma Mir.

Prominent attendees such as Professor Dr. Dawood Hussain of NED University and Urdu Link Editor Shabbir Ghori praised Mansuri's dedication, noting his role as a bridge between Pakistan and the United States. Mansuri himself expressed gratitude for the recognition and underscored the importance of culture and dialogue in building a nation's identity, stating, "Economy can make a country powerful, but culture gives it identity."
