President Zardari Calls for Youth Empowerment on International Youth Day

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized the need for empowering Pakistan's youth in his message on International Youth Day, highlighting their role in national development and calling for collective efforts to ensure their full potential is realized. With a focus on the theme "Different Contexts, Common Aspirations," President Zardari underscored the shared goals of young people for quality education and meaningful societal participation.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Zardari noted that Pakistan's youth, comprising nearly 67 percent of the population under the age of 30, are a crucial asset. He stressed the importance of engaging them in education, employment, and entrepreneurship to harness their energy and creativity for societal transformation. The message also highlighted the significance of young women's aspirations and talents in driving socio-economic progress.

The president warned of potential challenges if issues like educational access and high youth unemployment are not addressed, citing risks such as economic stagnation and social unrest. He reaffirmed the government's commitment to youth empowerment through initiatives like the Prime Minister's Youth Programme, aimed at providing opportunities across various sectors.

President Zardari concluded by encouraging the youth to pursue excellence and innovation, urging them to contribute to building a more inclusive and prosperous Pakistan.
