UVAS Celebrates National Minority Day with Walk, Seminar, and Sports Activities

Lahore: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore organized a series of events, including a walk, seminar, cake cutting ceremony, and various sports activities, to commemorate National Minority Day. The events aimed to recognize the contributions of the minority community to the nation's development and promote principles of equality, brotherhood, and religious freedom.

According to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the walk was led by UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani, accompanied by Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, Dean Faculty of Bio-sciences Prof Dr Habib-ur-Rehman, and numerous faculty members, students, and staff. The seminar, held at the UVAS Auditorium, featured speeches from Prof Dr Rabbani, who highlighted the role of minority employees in the development of Pakistan and the university. He emphasized the importance of equality and harmony among all employees at UVAS, asserting the institution's commitment to respect and rights for all, irrespective of religion.

The UVAS Directorate of Sports Board also organized sports activities, including badminton, tug of war, archery, and rifle shooting, specifically for minority staff members. The events fostered a sense of unity and healthy competition among participants.
