Faisalabad: During the General Elections of 2024, the Member of the National Assembly (MNA) for NA-98 Faisalabad-IV was elected with 41 percent of the 294,765 votes cast, amounting to only 21 percent of the 579,457 registered voters in the constituency.
According to Free and Fair Election Network, the Final Consolidated Result (Form-49) indicates that the voter turnout was 51 percent. The elected MNA won with 119,559 votes, yet a majority of voters, 56 percent, preferred other candidates, highlighting a lack of majority support for the winner. This result suggests a significant portion of the electorate did not endorse the winner, as 166,495 voters cast their votes for other candidates.
The runner-up received 36 percent of the ballots, the third-place candidate garnered 10 percent, and other candidates collectively received 11 percent. Additionally, 8,711 ballots, equating to three percent, were deemed invalid and not attributed to any candidate.
