Rawalpindi: Kashmir Solidarity Day events organized by the Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi and the All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association (APSMA) District Rawalpindi showcased the ongoing struggle for self-determination of the Kashmiri people. The program featured speeches, competitions, and exhibitions aimed at highlighting the region's issues and the need for international intervention.
According to Punjab Arts Council, the events included an art exhibition, a rally, and various competitions, culminating in an address by Mr. Hakim Khan, Assistant Commissioner Saddar, Rawalpindi. Mr. Khan emphasized the prolonged delay in implementing United Nations resolutions and criticized India's actions in Kashmir. He expressed the need for global support to help Kashmiris achieve freedom.
The event also saw participation from numerous schools, with Greenland Public School winning the Speech Competition, Naeem Islamia School securing the top position in the National Song Competition, and Eagle Public School excelling in the Tableau Competition. Kashmiri leader Mr. Mir Tahir Masood reaffirmed the unwavering resolve of the Kashmiri people to continue their struggle until freedom is realized.
Mr. Muhammad Shakoor, Director of the Arts Council, paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people and reiterated Pakistan's support for their cause. The event was attended by APSMA officials, students, teachers, and members of the public who congratulated the organizers on the successful execution of the programs. Judging duties were carried out by Rameez Ishaq, Qurrat-ul-Ain, and Sameeha Khaliq.
