Agha Lal Badshah Pledges Full Support for Rawalpindi Mourning Rights Convention

Rawalpindi: Azadar Agha Syed Lal Badshah has committed to fully participate in the upcoming Regional Protection Mourning Protest Convention in Rawalpindi, aimed at addressing and rejecting undue governmental restrictions on mourning practices. The announcement was made during a significant gathering at his residence, led by key figures from the religious community.

According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, the meeting featured leaders like Chairman Tafzauz Azadari Action Committee Bawa Syed Farzand Ali Shah Kazmi and several other dignitaries who affirmed their support for the convention. They highlighted past efforts by Quaid Millat Jafaria Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi in establishing the Hussaini front during the 1984 dictatorship, leading to the impactful Mousavi Junejo Agreement which secured the rights for religious processions. Agha Lal Badshah, reflecting on his own extensive history of activism including imprisonment for his beliefs, emphasized the importance of continuing to stand firm in the face of adversity and assured his and his followers’ complete involvement in the convention.

The convention aims to not only protest against recent restrictions but also to preserve the long-standing tradition of mourning in a country founded on religious principles, advocating for the protection of these rights as a fundamental constitutional guarantee.
