Mumbai, As India prepares to face Pakistan in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Group A match, captain Rohit Sharma emphasized the importance of a collective team effort and expressed confidence in the squad’s capabilities, including veteran player Virat Kohli.
According to International Cricket Council, Sharma, speaking at a press conference, highlighted that while the spotlight might be on Kohli, who recently joined the squad and played briefly against Ireland, the strategy for success involves every team member contributing. “I don’t want to rely on one or two individuals to win us the game,” Sharma stated, underscoring the need for all 11 players to play their part effectively.
The captain praised Kohli’s extensive experience in international tournaments as an invaluable asset to the team, but stressed that the upcoming game would require efforts from all players to maintain their winning momentum. Sharma also noted the importance of adapting to playing conditions and making smart decisions on the field.
