Haripur, The Department of Biology and the Roots Society at the University of Haripur recently organized an AI-based art and poster competition, blending artificial intelligence with artistic expression in the field of biology.

According to The University of Haripur, the event titled “AI meets Biology” drew the participation of a wide array of students and was supervised by Dr. Wajeeha Saeed from the Department of Biology. Prof. Dr. Shafiq Ur Rahman, Vice-Chancellor, and Prof. Dr. Aziz Ullah, Dean of the Faculty of Biological and Biomedical Sciences, were present at the event. Prof. Rahman praised the innovative use of AI in the arts and encouraged continued exploration of AI’s potential in various creative fields.

The competition featured judges from diverse disciplines within the university, including IT and microbiology, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of entries based on artistic merit and innovative use of technology. Winners of the competition included Miss Faiza from BS Zoology and Miss Ummal Khair from BS Biochemistry in the image category, while Malika Aleem and Umama Saeed from BS Biochemistry took home the best poster award.

The successful event highlighted the collaborative spirit between the Department of Biology and the Roots Society and underscored the university’s commitment to fostering innovative educational experiences that bridge technology and creativity.
