Karachi, An event celebrating the birth centenary of Khawaja Moinuddin, a pioneering figure in Pakistani drama, was held in Karachi, showcasing his contributions to literature and drama. Organized by the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi District Center, the event highlighted Moinuddin’s legacy in using drama to address social issues.
According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, the event was led by Prof. Dr. Moinuddin Aqeel and included discussions on the historical and literary significance of Khawaja Moinuddin’s work. Speakers at the event, including the guest of honor Prof. Raees Ahmed Samdani, emphasized the relevance of Moinuddin’s plays in contemporary society and discussed his historical dramas that reflect the social dynamics of Pakistan.
The ceremony also featured a resolution to name an auditorium after Khawaja Moinuddin, which was approved by Bashir Saduzai, the Resident Director of the Arts Council. Saduzai announced the introduction of English drama and computer classes at the council, signaling an expansion of cultural and educational activities.
