Balochistan Governor Visits University, Inaugurates New Facilities

Quetta, Governor of Balochistan and Chancellor of the University of Balochistan, Sheikh Jafar Khan Mandukhel, made a significant visit to the university campus, where he met with key officials and inaugurated the new Refugee Students Facilitation Center.

According to University of Balochistan, during his visit, Governor Mandukhel engaged with Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Zahoor Ahmed Bazai and other senior officials, including Registrar Muhammad Tariq Jogizai and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Alam Khan Tareen. Discussions focused on the educational and research activities, future plans, and current challenges faced by the institution, which has been pivotal in providing higher education for five decades, especially to students from remote areas of the province.

The governor toured various departments, including the Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) and the Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization, highlighting the university’s efforts to promote higher education across the province through its sub-campuses. He emphasized the commitment of his office to support the financial and administrative needs of higher education institutions in Balochistan and assured that all issues would be diligently reviewed to find sustainable solutions.

The visit concluded with the Vice-Chancellor expressing gratitude to Governor Mandukhel, who was presented with a commemorative shield on behalf of the university.
