Lahore, The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore hosted a distinguished event featuring the Japanese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Wada Mitsuhiro, for the Oath Taking Ceremony of the new MAAP Lahore Executive Committee. This significant occasion marked a commitment to enhanced academic and cultural cooperation between Pakistan and Japan.

According to University of Engineering and Technology, the ceremony included the oath-taking of the MAAP Lahore Executive Committee, led by Prof. Dr. Khalid Farooq as Regional Chair. The event facilitated discussions on advancing academic and research collaborations, with a particular focus on increasing scholarships for Pakistani students in Japan and enhancing educational exchanges.

Highlighting future projects, Prof. Dr. Khalid Farooq proposed establishing an advanced engineering research center at UET Lahore in partnership with leading Japanese universities, aiming to boost innovative research. Additionally, a symbolic Pak-Japan Friendship Garden was initiated by Ambassador Mitsuhiro with a tree planting ceremony, reinforcing the cultural and academic bonds between the two nations.
