Lahore, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf senior leader Musarat Jamshed Cheema criticized the government’s upcoming budget and its political tactics in a recent statement. He highlighted that the efforts focused on detaining PTI leaders could have been better spent addressing public issues.
According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Cheema expressed concerns during his address about the implications of the government’s recent presentation to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He argued that the planned budget for the next fiscal year is set to exacerbate the difficulties faced by the populace.
Cheema lamented the government’s priorities, which he feels are misaligned, focusing more on political suppression rather than alleviating the hardships of the people. He emphasized the need for governance that adheres to democratic principles and the constitution. Cheema also called for genuine political competition to address basic necessities like the cost of flour and lentils, criticizing the current approach of the ruling parties.
