Rawalpindi, The Punjab Council of the Arts Rawalpindi recently hosted an art exhibition featuring over 100 works of calligraphy and painting by young female artists. The event, inaugurated by Director Information Muhammad Awais and Director Punjab Council of Arts Rawalpindi Sajjad Ahmed, highlighted a blend of traditional calligraphy and modern artistic trends.
According to Punjab Arts Council, the exhibited artworks incorporated various artistic techniques, including symbolism, vintage, miniature, abstract, and elements of Sufism. Themes explored in these pieces ranged from human inner conflict and loneliness to happiness and gender discrimination, showcasing a rich diversity of expression and emotion.
Director Information Muhammad Awais praised the young artists for fully utilizing their talents and expressed optimism about their potential to become prominent figures in the art world. He noted the exhibition’s successful representation of ancient, contemporary, and modern artistic trends. Additionally, Awais welcomed Director Sajjad Ahmed to his new role, anticipating his contribution to the continuation of art promotion in the spirit of his predecessor, Waqar Ahmed.
Director Sajjad Ahmed commended the artists for their skillful demonstration of talent and their contribution to enhancing the prestige of the Arts Council. He reassured that the Arts Council would remain a supportive platform for all artists, describing it as their second home.
The event concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the participating artists.
