Pasban Democratic Party Criticizes Sindh Government Over Wheat and Flour Price Discrepancies

Karachi, Vice Chairman of the Pasban Democratic Party (PDP), Rafiq Khaskheli, has voiced strong criticism against the Sindh government’s handling of wheat and flour prices, claiming that despite lower wheat costs in Punjab, the people of Sindh continue to suffer from high prices and inflation. This disparity has reportedly led to severe hardships for the region’s middle and lower classes, particularly affecting daily wage laborers.

According to Pasban Democratic Party, Khaskheli denounced the Sindh government for failing to provide flour at affordable prices, attributing the issue to government incompetence and corrupt practices. He emphasized that the current economic policies have only exacerbated the struggles of the poor, with many facing humiliation while queuing for basic necessities like flour.

The statement further accused the ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) of Sindh of neglecting the basic needs and rights of its citizens, despite the province’s capacity to produce ample wheat. Khaskheli called for urgent and effective measures to stabilize flour prices and stringent actions against those profiting illegally from the current crisis.

Khaskheli’s critique extended to the broader implications of the PPP’s leadership, questioning how the party could contemplate national beautification projects while its home province grapples with such significant issues. He urged the PPP to realign its focus toward the immediate needs of Sindh’s residents to maintain its relevance in national politics.
