Claire Polosak to Umpire Pakistan-West Indies Women’s Cricket Series in Karachi

Karachi, Claire Polosak, an Australian cricket umpire, is set to oversee the on-field proceedings in the upcoming white-ball series featuring the women’s teams from Pakistan and West Indies. The series, which runs from April 18 to May 3, will consist of three One Day Internationals (ODIs) that are part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25 and five T20 Internationals (T20Is), all to be held at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the West Indies women’s team is scheduled to land in Karachi on April 14. Polosak, who has made a name for herself in the international umpiring community, will be joined by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Elite Panel of Umpires members Abdul Moqeet, Imran Jawed, and Nasir Hussain for the ODI series, with Saleema Imtiaz and Humairah Farah as reserve umpires.

For the T20Is taking place between April 26 and May 3, Polosak’s team will include Faisal Afridi from the ICC and PCB Elite Panel of Umpires, as well as Farooq Ali Khan and Tariq Rasheed from the PCB Elite Panel of Umpires. Reserve umpires for the T20I series will be Afia Amin, along with Humairah and Saleema.

Ali Naqvi, a former Test batter and member of both the PCB and ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, will oversee the ODI series, while Muhammad Javed will serve as the match referee for the T20I series. The detailed appointments for umpires and match referees have been announced for each match, underscoring the readiness and professionalism expected for the series.
