Turbat, Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Turbat, emphasized the importance of good governance and administrative excellence in advancing the university’s progress. This statement was made during the closing ceremony of a two-day training workshop held at the university, focusing on “Secretarial Skills and Professional Development”.
According to University of Turbat, the workshop, which took place from January 15th to 16th, saw the participation of officers and staff from various administrative units of the university. The Vice Chancellor reiterated the administration’s commitment to regular capacity-building training workshops for both administrative staff and faculty members.
During his address, Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad stressed the necessity of adhering to key principles such as ethics in the workplace, self-management, trust and relationship building, conceptual and technical skills, teamwork, and positive approaches. He encouraged the participants to apply the skills and knowledge acquired in the workshop to their respective roles at the university.
The training covered a range of modules, including file management, conducting official meetings, drafting minutes, human resource management, time management, effective record management, professional development, governance, and leadership at universities.
The Vice Chancellor expressed gratitude towards Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) and workshop coordinator, Mr. Manzoor Hussain, Director of Human Resource Management (HRM) at BUITEMS and the resource person for the workshop, as well as the participants for their roles in organizing a successful training session.
