Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Addresses PPP Workers’ Convention in Naushehra

Naushehra, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), addressed a workers’ convention in Naushehra, expressing gratitude to the party’s supporters and outlining the PPP’s vision and commitments ahead of upcoming elections.

According to Pakistan People’s Party, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid tribute to the memory of Liaqat Shabab at the convention. He highlighted the awakening and enthusiasm of the party’s supporters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, emphasizing their readiness for elections and dedication to the party’s ideology. Zardari praised the resilience of the PPP supporters in the region, who have historically confronted dictators and extremists.

Addressing the challenges facing Pakistan, including inflation, poverty, unemployment, and terrorism, Chairman Bilawal criticized Islamabad’s current policies and their impact on peace and security. He lamented the release of terrorists and the resulting spike in violence against police and army personnel.

Zardari questioned whether the current state of democracy aligns with the vision of the PPP’s founding leaders, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. He called for solutions to the nation’s security, economic, democratic, and constitutional challenges, asserting that the PPP is uniquely positioned to address these issues due to its people-centric approach.

The Chairman stressed the importance of conducting free and fair elections to avoid controversial results and government inefficacy. He urged other political parties to compete in elections without administrative assistance, expressing confidence in the PPP’s rapport with the Pakistani people. Zardari highlighted the PPP’s history of representing the underprivileged, including farmers, laborers, students, and provincial interests.

The Chairman vowed to run the economy based on Bhuttoism principles, ensuring benefits for workers and farmers rather than the elite. He emphasized the importance of businesses sharing profits with workers and advocated for a balanced approach where hard work is duly rewarded.

Concluding his speech, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed readiness to serve the Pakistani people if given the opportunity, while respecting their choice in the upcoming elections. He criticized political adversaries for their inconsistent stance on democracy and constitutional values. Zardari announced the PPP’s upcoming workers’ conventions in Dir and Chitral, followed by the Party’s Foundation Day in Balochistan, leading up to the electoral campaign.
