Karachi, Maulana Abdul Majid Farooqui, the Provincial President of the Pakistan Peace Council Sindh and Imam and Khatib of Jama Masjid Al-Khalil Bhatai Abad Golestan Johar, has voiced grave concern over the escalating inflation and illegal profiteering in Pakistan. He stressed that these economic challenges have severely impacted the common man, making survival increasingly difficult. Farooqui called on the government to take immediate and effective measures to address these issues, emphasizing the need to uphold the people’s right to live with dignity.

According to the PAKISTAN AMN COUNCIL, Maulana Abdul Majid Farooqui, in discussions with various personalities including Qari Muhammad Ishaq and Qari Muhammad Nadeem, condemned the actions of the Israeli army against Palestinian civilians seeking refuge in Al-Shifa Hospital. He accused Muslim rulers of failing to respond adequately to this violence and appealed to scholars and khutba (sermon deliverers) to present resolutions condemning Israeli brutality in Gaza during Friday prayers.

Farooqui’s statements highlight the deepening economic crisis in Pakistan and the broader issue of human rights violations in conflict zones.
