Karachi, Students of Dow Medical College in Karachi have come together in a show of solidarity with Gaza, demanding an immediate ceasefire and an end to the ongoing conflict. The protest, led by final year students, was held in front of the DC Court Yard, where participants voiced their support for Palestine and called for urgent medical and financial aid for the affected population.
According to Dow Medical College, students from all classes of the college participated in the protest. The demonstration was marked by the collection of medicines and financial contributions aimed at providing immediate relief to the Palestinians. The students also observed a one-minute silence to honor the martyrs of Palestine.
The protest was led by Doctors Zareena, Dr. Esha, Dr Aisha, and Dr. Abdullah Khalji. The gathering resonated with slogans like “Ceasefire now,” “Labbaik Ya Gaza,” “Labbaik Ya Aqsa,” and “Gaza Gaza don’t you cry, Palestine will never die,” reflecting the students’ deep concern for the situation in Gaza.
During the protest, Dr. Zareena addressed the students, urging them to take concrete action by boycotting products that financially support Israel. This call to action highlights the students’ commitment to using their influence and resources to support the Palestinian cause and stand against the violence in Gaza.
