LAHORE, Former Pakistan Test captain Shahid Afridi met with the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee, Mr Zaka Ashraf, at Gaddafi Stadium today. The visit is seen as a move to utilize Afridi’s expertise for advancing Pakistan cricket.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, Mr Ashraf praised Afridi for his commitment to cricket and hailed him as a national hero for his achievements on the field and exemplary conduct off it. The Chairman expressed a desire for Afridi to lend his experience to the betterment of the sport in the country.

Afridi, on his part, showed eagerness to mentor young cricketers and contribute to the development of future talents who can serve as commendable representatives of Pakistan on international platforms. He also commended Mr Ashraf for his contributions to Pakistan cricket.
