Lahore, 17 Oct 2023:Under the guidance of Dr. Asif Tufail, Director General of Sports Board Punjab, a three-day online training workshop for coaches commenced at the National Hockey Stadium on Tuesday. The workshop, designed to refine the expertise of coaches, is attended by all coaches associated with Sports Board Punjab, Directorate General Sports Punjab, and Punjab Olympic Associations. Deputy Director Sports Chand Parveen was also present.

Expert trainer of FIH Academy, Zahid Ali, led the session, addressing topics such as contemporary coaching methodologies, coaching philosophies, responsibilities of coaches, event management strategies, and injury management. Additionally, he informed attendees about the latest game rules and advanced coaching techniques. An interactive question and answer session further enriched the coaches’ knowledge. The training workshop, spanning from October 17 to 19, will also feature insights from Dr. Amir Sohail, Assistant Professor of Orthopedics at Jinnah Hospital, alongside continued guidance from FIH Academy expert trainer Zahid Ali.
