Islamabad, 17 Oct 2023:The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) is gearing up for its Sports Gala 2023 opening ceremony scheduled for Wednesday. Prof. Dr. N.B. Jumani, Vice President of Administration and Finance, recently inspected the venue and arrangements in anticipation of the event.

Accompanied by key officials including Students Advisor Dr. Hafiz Ghufran Ali Khan and Director Administration Mr. Inam ul Haq, Dr. Jumani conveyed the university president’s aspirations for the ceremony and gala to be unforgettable occasions. The university has introduced a unique contest, encouraging students to capture the opening ceremony in a one-minute video package. The winning entry will earn a grand prize of 10 thousand. Entries can be submitted to the university’s official Facebook page, iiu.isbpk.

Apart from this, discussions about special prizes for active student participants took place. The Sports Gala, orchestrated by the Directorate of Students’ Affairs’ sports section, will see around 1,000 male students from 11 university faculties display their talents. Scheduled for 9:30 am on Wednesday, October 18, at the hardball cricket ground, the opening ceremony promises to be an engaging affair, graced by distinguished guests, including the President of IIUI. The gala will feature a range of sports competitions, from table tennis to football, with students keen to shine post their faculty trials.
