Islamabad, 16 Oct 2023: International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) and Bank Alfalah Limited have formalized their collaboration with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at introducing free digital banking services. This partnership aligns with the IIUI President’s vision centered on facilitating students.
According to the MoU, Bank Alfalah is set to introduce mobile banking via its app specifically tailored for IIUI dues payment. Additionally, students will be granted access to the Alfalah wallet – an E-wallet service designed to streamline banking transactions. To further aid the IIUI community, Bank Alfalah plans to deploy special cash deposit machines on campus, simplifying the process of fee payments.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, President of IIUI, and Adnan Nasir, Head Digital Payments at Bank Alfalah. Commenting on the partnership, Dr. Hathal expressed IIUI’s commitment to integrating advanced techniques into the educational journey, emphasizing that the student-centric approach remains the bedrock of the institution’s leadership vision. He further elaborated on IIUI’s core mission of providing a robust intellectual foundation that encompasses the ideological, moral, intellectual, social, economic, and technological growth of the Muslim Ummah, all while staying true to Islamic values and principles.
In a sentimental turn, Mr. Adnan Nasir, revealing his ties to IIUI as an alumnus from the faculty of computing, voiced his pride in spearheading a project that serves IIUI students. Echoing this sentiment, the IIUI President highlighted the invaluable contributions of IIUI alumni, dubbing them the university’s genuine ambassadors and attributing the institution’s growing repute to their endeavours.
The MoU signing event was graced by various key figures, including Dr. N.B. Jumani, Vice President A and F IIUI, and representatives from Bank Alfalah: Mr. Saqib Ali, Muhammad Adeel, Asfand yar Khalid Butt, and Mr. Ayaz Ali.
