Virtual University Hosts Student Integration Camp 2023 in Islamabad

Lahore, 16 Oct 2023: The Virtual University of Pakistan, in partnership with the Pakistan Boys Scout Association, recently launched the Student Integration Camp 2023. This notable event, which spanned five days, took place at the Pakistan Boys Scouting Association’s headquarters in Islamabad. Drawing a crowd of over 300 students from every province in Pakistan, including GB and Azad Kashmir, the camp promised and delivered a slew of engaging activities and unique networking opportunities.

Participants at the Student Integration Camp immersed themselves in a range of activities, from camping and hiking to archery and first aid training. A particularly memorable moment was the enthralling bonfire. Additionally, a hiking walk was organized for the attendees, which included a visit to the iconic Pakistan Monument. Beyond the physical activities, the camp played a pivotal role in fostering connections among students from diverse backgrounds, with many using the event as a platform for both personal and professional networking.

The camp concluded with a grand closing ceremony at the National Headquarters of PBSA in Islamabad. Esteemed guests in attendance included Mr. Muhammad Junaid Jalil Khan, Director General of Pakistan Customs, Mr. Sohail Tajik, Deputy Director General of the Anti-Narcotics Force Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti, Rector of the Virtual University of Pakistan, and Mr. Sarfaraz Qamar Daha, Chief Commissioner of PBSA. Throughout the ceremony, attendees heard from speakers like Registrar VU Prof. Dr. Mohsin Javed, who illuminated the camp’s importance for VU students.

Rector Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti highlighted the profound role of Scouting in shaping the lives of students. Furthermore, he expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support that made the camp possible. Meanwhile, Mr. Muhammad Junaid Jalil Khan of Pakistan Customs commended the Virtual University for its dedication to its students and partner departments, such as the Customs.
