Karachi, September 20, 2023 (PPI-OT): Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the international community needs to deal with the issues that pose serious threats to global peace and harmony.
In his message issued on the International Day of Peace, the Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party has said that “violence, cross-border terrorism, Islamophobia, illegal occupation of territories, global economic and climate injustice and human inequality on the planet.” There are significant threats to sustainable and lasting peace. The PPP Chairman emphasized that the global community must also take steps against injustices, atrocities, discrimination among human beings and exploitation of poor, marginalized and voiceless people to achieve the great goal of peace in the world.
He added that the international community needs to promote and encourage democracy in developing countries to ensure the promotion of equality and justice in societies facing uncertainty, conflict and various forms of conflict. He further said that the protection of human rights of all individuals is an individual responsibility as well as a collective responsibility of all nations.
The United Nations observes this day with the hope that peace can be promoted individually and collectively to achieve common goals. Chairman PPP and former Foreign Minister of Pakistan Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the people of Pakistan, its political leadership and armed forces have made immense sacrifices as the frontline force in the fight against international terrorism.
We have lost more than 80,000 civilians and soldiers including the first elected female Prime Minister of the Muslim world, Ms. Benazir Bhutto, in this war. PPP Chairman said that the people of Kashmir and Palestine are looking to the world leaders for their freedom because the worst type of atrocities are being inflicted on them. Increasing incidents of Islamophobia, target killings on foreign soil like the gruesome killing of Hardeep Singh in Canada by Indian terrorists, and acts of violence within Pakistan and elsewhere.
The Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party expressed his determination that Pakistan People’s Party will continue its struggle for peace in the country and in the whole world. Our motto is to serve the people to eradicate poverty and injustice and promote equality and harmony among the people through democratic system under the unified constitution of Pakistan.
