Aztiq and Innobic Announce Pricing of Secondary Sale of Lotus Common Stock by AEMH

LONDON and BANGKOK, Thailand, July 03, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Aztiq Pharma Partners (“Aztiq”), a private equity company focused on the life sciences sector, and Innobic (Asia) Company Limited (“Innobic”), the life science arm of Thai oil and gas conglomerate PTT Public Company Limited (“PTT”) (collectively, “the shareholders”), today announced the pricing of a sale of 25,095,850 shares of Lotus Pharmaceuticals (1795:TT; “Lotus,” “the company”), a multinational pharmaceutical company, at a price of NT$297 per share. The trade will be settled on July 5, 2023, subject to satisfaction of customary settlement procedures. The sale is being executed by Alvogen Emerging Market Holdings Limited (“AEMH”), which will continue to own 41% of Lotus common stock after the close of the transaction. Inclusive of Innobic’s direct holdings of Lotus, the shareholders will continue to own approximately 47.7% of the company.

Orientation Session for The High School Summer Internship Program 2023

Karachi, July 03, 2023 (PPI-OT): IoBM organized the orientation for the High School Summer Internship program on Monday, July 3, 2023. During this first-of-its-kind initiative by IoBM, as many as ten students from Karachi Grammar School (KGS) will complete their 4-week internship at IoBM. These students will perform project-based work in various departments, including Marketing and Communications (MARCOM), Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), Entrepreneurship and Management Excellence Center (EMEC), Center of Information Technology (CIT), Shahjehan S. Karim Incubation Center (SSKIC), and Media.

Invited to this session was Mr. Salman Baig, IoBM alumnus and President of Old Grammarian’s Society, who shared insights into the internship program and how it will develop the interns’ personalities. During the orientation session, Ms. Juveria Baig, HoD Internship and Placement Department, IoBM, presented an overview of the High School Summer Internship and the exciting opportunities awaiting the interns. The session was attended by the respective HoDs of the departments where the interns will be completing their projects.

Paediatric Oncology Patients Enjoy the Delightful Eid Lunch at IHHN Patient’s Residency

Karachi, July 03, 2023 (PPI-OT): An Eid-ul-Azha Lunch was arranged for Paediatric Oncology Patients and their parents, staying at Indus Hospital and Health Network’s residential facility, by i-inspire ambassador Faryal Kamran. Senior consultants, Paediatric Oncology, Dr. Ahmer Hamid and Dr. Qadir Pathan were also present along with other faculty members.

Faryal Kamran has been organizing the activities for Paediatric Oncology patients at IHHN, for years through her ‘Faryal Kamran Initiative’, for the kids who are suffering from illness forget about it for a while, and they take happy, healing memories with them. Recently, a summer camp was also organized under the same initiative.

‘Madina Residency’, is a residential facility for the paediatric oncology patients who travel from other cities or countries to Karachi for their treatment. The residing patients are accompanied by their parents or guardians. IHHN is grateful to Faryal Kamran for all her efforts to bring joy and happiness to the oncology patients.

Karachi, July 03, 2023 (PPI-OT): Pakistan People’s Party submitted applications for allotment of election symbol “Sword” and Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians submitted applications for allotment of election symbol “Arrow”.

On behalf of Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Secretary General of People’s Party Syed Nayar Hussain Bukhari has submitted a request to the Election Commission to allot the election symbol Talwar.

Election symbol “Sword” should be allotted to participate in the elections. Secretary General of Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians Farhatullah Babar has submitted a request to allot election symbol “arrow” Farhatullah Babar has said in the request that Pakistan People’s Party parliamentarians would have been allotted election symbol “arrow” in the earlier general elections. This is why PPPP should be allotted election symbol “Arrow” in the upcoming elections as well.

The Secretary General of Pakistan People’s Party Syed Nayar Hussain Bukhari has announced to observe a black day on July 5 in the whole country against the killing of the first elected democratic government of the leader of the people Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, the martyred Prime Minister

Karachi, July 03, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Secretary General of Pakistan People’s Party, Syed Nair Hussain Bukhari, announced that July 5 will be observed as a black day across the country against the killing of the first elected democratic government of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, the leader of the people. People’s Lawyers Forum officials will hold demonstrations in front of the barrooms across the country for the immediate hearing of the Bhutto Shaheed revision reference.

The activists and officials of Pakistan People’s Party will celebrate Black Day by tying black bands on their arms. People’s Party 5th July Day across the country. Nir Bukhari has said that the federal and provincial ministers of the People’s Party will participate in the programs of the Black Day and the members of the People’s Party central council, federal and provincial councils will participate in the protest programs of the provincial, divisional and district organizations.

UOS Ranked at 301+ In Times Higher Education Young University Rankings

Sargodha, July 03, 2023 (PPI-OT): Achieving another milestone, the University of Sargodha has been ranked at 301-350 in the World Young University Rankings 2023, released by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings on Monday. The University of Sargodha (UoS) has also achieved the distinction of being ranked as the best university in Pakistan for teaching.
