University of Sargodha and Pakistan Sports Board Collaborate on Coaching Refresher Course

Sargodha: The University of Sargodha, in partnership with the Pakistan Sports Board, recently held a refresher course for coaches and sports instructors to enhance their professional skills. The event, which took place at the Malik Feroz Khan Noon Business School Hall, was attended by a diverse group of coaches, sports officials, students, and national-level athletes.

According to University of Sargodha, the course aimed to equip coaching staff with contemporary skills necessary for training athletes effectively. Pakistan Sports Board Deputy Director General Mumtazul Haq, who served as the chief guest, emphasized the need for modern facilities and quality training opportunities at the grassroots level. He highlighted that the course was designed to prepare coaches to help athletes compete at both national and international levels.

Mehr Ahmed Khan Haral, the university's Director of Sports, stated that the institution is actively working to promote sports and enhance coaching skills. He expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Sports Board for organizing the programme at the university.

The course provided participants with training in modern coaching methodologies, athlete development, and the scientific aspects of sports coaching. Trainers conducted practical sessions on current coaching techniques and explained key rules and regulations of the profession. Organisers noted that the programme aims to improve coaching standards and bolster sports development initiatives in the region.
