Awareness Session on Road Safety

Faisalabad, April 17, 2023 (PPI-OT):NTU Road Safety Club (2022-2023) arranged an awareness seminar on “Road Safety” on January 18, 2023. The objective was to make the community and students of NTU about the rules of the road and the importance of good choices e.g., wearing seatbelts, not texting while driving, and avoiding smoking or medications that affect awareness.

Our Chief Guest was Muhammad Asif Siddiq (Chief Traffic Officer in Faisalabad). Mr. Salman Saif Registrar NTU, Convener Jamal (Assistant Professor FBS, NTU FSD), Ms. Nadia Shamim Asst. Director of Students Affairs greeted the guest with his team. The President of the Road Safety Club M. Asad Abbas (2022-2023) and active members of the students were acknowledged with certificates.

Indus Hospital and Health Network Partners with BRB Group

Karachi, April 17, 2023 (PPI-OT):Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with BRB Group on April 17, 2022. The agreement was signed by Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, President, IHHN, and Khawaja Mujahid Sadiq, CEO, BRB Welfare Foundation, who visited The Indus Hospital, Korangi Campus, on April 17, 2023.

Under the new agreement, the two parties will engage in various activities related to employee engagement, volunteer work, awareness campaigns, blood donation drives, and community service events to ultimately support IHHN’s mission of providing free-of-cost quality care to all patients in need throughout Pakistan.

During Mr. Sadiq’s visit, he was also given a tour of the hospital, especially the paediatric care complex and the Eid Bazaar, held especially for the benefit of paediatric patients who are unable to return home for the holidays due to their ongoing treatment. The team from BRB Group commended the work being done at IHHN and the level of care provided to the patients.

Matsumae International Foundation Fellowship 2024 in Japan Fully Funded

Lahore, April 17, 2023 (PPI-OT):The MIF Japan fellowship 2024 is designed to facilitate overseas researchers in Japan by introducing them to the history, philosophy, and wishes of the Japanese vital founders. Further, this international fellowship opportunity will help the young and active participants with outstanding talent deepen their knowledge and understanding of Japan. Through such platforms, Japan actively establishes trustworthy and friendly relationships among different regions of the world. Regardless of race, sex, religion, ideology, or other constraints, the Matsumae Japanese fellowship is open to all who possess excellent academic records.

Course Level: Research Fellowship

Subjects: Natural science, Engineering, Medicine

Grants: Monthly allowance of JPY 220,000 for living and research activities.

Arrival fund of JPY 120,000.

Round-trip economy class airfare is given.

Travel insurance encompassing medical treatment and death benefits is provided.

Study tour.

Eligibility: Every non-Japanese national can apply.

Students, holding PhD degrees can apply.

Not more than 49 years old.

Must have an invitation letter from the Japanese host institution.

Proficient in English or Japanese language.

Should not be having any past experience staying or working in Japan.

Should be employed in their home country and committed to getting back after the completion of the fellowship and playing their part in the development of their country.

The research field of natural sciences, engineering, and medicine are mostly preferred.

Celebrating Excellence: Undergraduate students of Knitting secured financial assistance from the Pakistan Engineering Council

Faisalabad, April 17, 2023 (PPI-OT):Heartiest congratulations to the undergraduate students of the Department of Textile Engineering (Knitting) for securing financial assistance from the Pakistan Engineering Council under “Final Year Design Project Financing”. The Pakistan Engineering Council is offering financial assistance for Final Year Design Projects. The program is aimed at promoting innovation and research in the field of engineering.

Through this initiative, final-year students of engineering programs such as electrical, mechanical, civil, textile and others can receive financial assistance to complete their design projects. The program is designed to encourage students to come up with innovative ideas and create solutions to real-world problems.

Promotion of Women’s small Businesses – “WUJOOD E ZAN”

Faisalabad, April 17, 2023 (PPI-OT):For 2023, WINGS has a variety of events and celebrations showing its commitment and marking the importance of International Women’s Day. In this regard, WINGS organised an event called “WUJOOD E ZAN” on March 8, 2023, to promote women’s small businesses and empower young ladies.

Female students from all over the university were invited to display their stalls, e-businesses, etc. Our worthy rector, Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain, inaugurated the stall display and paid a visit to the stalls. He encouraged the students’ confidence in running their own businesses and praised them for their efforts.
