IUI President Chairs Meeting to Review Progress on Strategic Plan Implementation

Islamabad, February 16, 2023 (PPI-OT):A meeting on the progress of implementation of the Strategic Plan was held under the chairmanship of H.E. Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, President, International Islamic University (IIUI) was held here at New Campus.

Al the Deans attended the meeting along with In-Charges i.e. In-Charge (M/F programs), In-Charge (Academic Affairs / In-Charge Quality Development and Higher Studies) and presented the one-year progress report on implementation of new organogram and attainment of KPIs initiatives taken. The In-Charge, Strategic Plan Implementation Cell (SPIC) also attended the meeting along with relevant stakeholders. All the eleven faculties of the university presented their reports which were reviewed one by one.

IIU President showed satisfaction on the expedited efforts regarding completion of the assigned tasks to all Deans desired that the prime focus must be given on complete and comprehensive implementation of the strategic plan. He said that it is necessary to achieve the goals and targets so that the university may lead towards the right direction on the way of progress while achieving our targets.

He added that strategic plan will help to improve quality, development, academic excellence and good governance of the university while, collective and participatory approach would be adopted at all levels for better execution and operations. At the end of the meeting, the President, IIUI lauded the role of all members for its entire efforts regarding implementation of the Strategic Plan (2022-2026).

LUMS HR Participates in Annual Career Fair

Lahore, February 16, 2023 (PPI-OT):The Office of Human Resources (HR) at LUMS participated in the Annual Career Fair. The event, organised by the University’s Career Services Office, took place at the LUMS Football ground on February 4, 2023. The career fair provides an opportunity for networking and building connections with LUMS alumni and students, leading to potential career advancement opportunities, and serving their alma mater.

This year, HR’s focus was to highlight the importance of sustainability through fun activities and giveaways, including interactive games like a Kahoot quiz and a ‘Go Green’ Dart game. Students were offered the opportunity to help raise awareness about tree plantation by adopting a plant.

LUMS is committed to providing students with the resources and guidance they need to make informed decisions about their future, and understands the importance of exposing students to the diverse opportunities that exist in the professional world. At the career fair, HR had the opportunity to interact with students and offer them opportunities like internships, research assistance, teaching assistance, full-time positions, and more.

The HR booth was also visited by members of the University’s leadership, including the Provost and Director, HR. The team’s hard work was noted and appreciated by peers, students, and officials.

Karachi, February 16, 2023 (PPI-OT):Leader of the People and Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Asif Zardari gave equal constitutional rights and administrative powers to citizens in Gilgit-Baltistan. Punjab University Institute of Social and Cultural Studies organizes seminar on Digital Census

Lahore, February 16, 2023 (PPI-OT):Punjab University Institute of Social and Cultural Studies (ISCS) Nutrition and Wellbeing Society, Public Health and Demography in collaboration with the Workplace Health Promotion Community (WHPC) has organized a seminar on ‘First Digital Census in Pakistan’ in its auditorium. The guest speakers Dr Syed Wasim Abbas and Ms. Haseena presented overall mechanism on the Digital Census in Pakistan. They enlightened the students on various aspects of Digital Census in Pakistan including history, aims and core function of the Census that was very informative.

The participants of the seminar also contributed through their insightful questions that added more to the knowledge about the procedures regarding the Census in Pakistan. The seminar was concluded with a note of thanks by the Program Coordinator of BS Workplace Health Promotion Dr Nauman Ali.

The mandate of the people from Karachi should be recognized and the mayoral elections should be held immediately: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

Karachi, February 16, 2023 (PPI-OT):Chairman Pakistan People’s Party and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the mandate of the people from Karachi should be recognized and the mayoral elections should be held immediately. The Election Commission should immediately issue the notification of the winning candidate. Election process of specific seats in Karachi should also be completed soon. Najmi Alam, who won the election of the chairman from Union Council 11 of Sadar Town, Karachi, informed the post-election situation during the meeting with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at Zardari House Islamabad. During the meeting, Chairman PPP said that if the next electoral process of local body elections is delayed, Pakistan PPP has the right to protest.

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Sports and Tourism, Aoon Chaudhary met with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and informed the PPP Chairman about the steps taken regarding the promotion of sports and tourism in the country. The number one who makes a joke is a coward who is afraid to show his face to the court: Syed Nir Hussain Bukhari

Karachi, February 16, 2023 (PPI-OT):Secretary General of Pakistan People’s Party Syed Nair Hussain Bukhari has said that in response to Imran Khan’s non-participation in the Lahore High Court despite repeated opportunities by the judiciary, he has said that the number one coward who used to make jokes has become a coward. He walks around who is afraid to show his face to the court. For fear of cancelling the security bail, the refugees behind the security walls are not daring to come out. Now justice has to be done.
