We can never leave Pakistan at the mercy of this imported government: Ch Hussain Elahi

Lahore, April 25, 2022 (PPI-OT):Pakistan Muslim League nominates Chaudhry Hussain Elahi MNA, son of Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain, as Leader of Opposition in National Assembly. The decision to nominate Chaudhry Hussain Elahi was taken by the party leadership after the resignations of PTI members from the National Assembly.

Talking to media at his residence here, Chaudhry Hussain Elahi said that Pakistan Muslim League has always fought for the rights of Pakistan and its people. We cannot leave Pakistan at the mercy of this imported government, the mandate-stealing government also wants to occupy an important position like the Leader of the Opposition, which we will not allow to succeed under any circumstances.

He said that we stand firm with Imran Khan, the imported government wants to bring an opposition which remained in Sindh House, the members who defected, they will take the next ticket from the present government. At the same time, we are fighting with imported government and also fighting against the dissident members of PTI.

He said that the tradition of floor crossing should end, the court should see that the dissident members were given the mandate of PTI, if any external force invests three to four billion rupees, will the government change? Hussain Elahi said that we are currently in touch with the GDA for the Leader of the Opposition.

He further said that this government wants to elect one of the puppet opposition leaders from among the dissident members who joined it so that it can do its bidding for legislation or other issues in the National Assembly. Ch Hussain Elahi said that the government’s occupation of the post of Leader of the Opposition is in fact contrary to democratic values, this vested interest group also wants one man show for many important positions in the future in which we will not allow them to succeed under any circumstances, we will do our best to stop them from violating the rights of the people. Ch Hussain Elahi further said that Pakistan Muslim League is undoubtedly the party of the people’s aspirations, we will, as always, be a leaden wall against these imported elements who are still a threat to the sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan.
