Pakistan highly grateful for Japanese water sector cooperation: Moonis Elahi

Lahore, January 26, 2022 (PPI-OT): Pakistan is highly grateful to Japan for extending its all-out cooperation in various areas of national development, in particular the water sector. JICA is playing an outstanding role in strengthening Pak-Japan relations. These views were expressed by Federal Minister for Water Resources Moonis Elahi during a meeting with the Japanese envoy to Pakistan H.E Mr. Wada Mitsuhiro. Secretary Ministry of Water Resources Kazim Niaz was also present in the meeting.

Making a special mention of Japanese technical and financial support to Pakistan, Moonis Elahi expressed his gratitude for the long-term cooperation in Pakistan’s water sector development and hoped that Pakistan would soon be able to overcome its water sector issues and challenges and be able to develop its water sector on modern lines with sustained Japanese help. Responding to Moonis Elahi’s remarks H.E Mr. Wada Mitsuhiro thanked him for providing an update on the progress of water sector in Pakistan and assured him of his personal support to further enhance this collaboration.

Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Parvez Elahi extends condolences to Additional Secretary Punjab Assembly Irshad Warraich on the demise of his brother League

Lahore, January 26, 2022 (PPI-OT): Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi visited Additional Secretary Punjab Assembly Irshad Ahmed Warraich at his residence to offer condolences on the demise of his elder brother Manzoor Hussain Nambardar. Secretary Punjab Assembly Muhammad Khan Bhatti also accompanied him.

Ch Parvez Elahi extended condolences to the bereaved family and offered Fateha for the bereaved. Ch Parvez Elahi said that Manzoor Hussain Nambardar was a prominent social figure, his services for the community cannot be forgotten.
