We hope you had a great holiday break.

We are preparing the codes to embed the results, schedule and medal table widgets in your website for the Winter Olympic Games Beijing 2022. You will receive the final version as soon as possible.

Additionally, we have been checking your site and there are some things you need to do/know before we send the embed code:

You need to implement a CMT (Cookie Management Tool). Embed widgets will have cookies to enhace the user experience, and they cannot be installed without user acceptance.

The CMT, needs to include the following options for the user: allow, reject all, accept all, and/or give access to preferences, so users may accept or deny Group of cookies (marketing, tracking etc.).

The One trust code will need to be updated as old one will not work activate the consent on acceptance, and needs to be reinstalled.

We will need to know the URL where the widgets will be tested (We need to check that the implementation is correct before posting the widgets live).

Your site needs to be compliant with the GDPR and include the legal advice about the cookies that are going to be deployed (We will provide this text with the widgets within this week).

If you need an updated code for one trust, let us know and we will scan and adapt the code to make it work for Beijing 2022.

Pre-Arrangement Meeting for the Conduct of Pre-Entry Test-2022 

Khairpur, January 11, 2022 (PPI-OT):A Pre-Arrangement Meeting for the peaceful, congenial and conducive conduct of Pre-Entry Test-2022 was held at Vice Chancellor Secretariat, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor presided over the meeting.

Talking to the participants of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto maintained that the Pre-Entry Test-2022 will be conducted on Tuesday 11 January 2022 for the fresh batch of B.S Part-I and B.S Part-III respectively. The Vice Chancellor remarked that the conduct of centralized admission test aimed at to maintain the discipline and transparency. The Vice Chancellor sought the progress report from the relevant committees for the conduct of the Entry Test.

The Conveners and Members of the various committees apprised the Vice Chancellor that fool proof security arrangements have been made for the peaceful, congenial and conducive conduct of Pre-Entry Test. The overall arrangements were reviewed during the meeting. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto felt entire satisfaction over the arrangements made for the conduct of Pre-Entry Test in befitting manner.

It was decided that the Pre-Entry Test will be conducted at the Central Lawn of the Main Administration Block. The eligible candidates will download their admit slips from university website www.salu.edu.pk. Meanwhile, the admit slips will also be available at the eastern side of the Habib Bank SALU Branch. The parents of the appearing candidates will be seated at the University Model School.

It was decided that entry of the candidates will be allowed only from the Main Gate having admit slips. The outsiders will not be allowed to enter in the University premises. Wherein, all the hostels will remain closed. It was also decided that all the Faculty Members, S and Teaching Assistants will perform their invigilation duties mandatory on day of test. The test will start on 11:00 am to 12:00 Noon.

Petition for Credit Overload Form – Spring 2022 Actual Registration

It will take a minimum of one working day to process the petition.

This form is opened on the 1st day of registration at 9AM and closes on the 2nd last day of registration at 5PM.

This form will accept responses 9AM-5PM daily during the given/mentioned days it’s opened for.

Students will be notified by email (on their Official FCCU Email Address) regarding the decision made.

Students will have to forward the approval email to the Academic Office (to haroonhayat@fccollege.edu.pk) for their course registration (student must mention the course(s) he/she wants to register and that course needs to have available seats in it) after their credit(s) overload is approved.

PLEASE NOTE:

Permission to carry an overload will be granted based on a CGPA of 3.0 or above.

Senior students (90 completed credits), with lower CGPA can be allowed to take an overload if they require the course to graduate.

Juniors and Seniors will be allowed to overload credit(s), given they meet the set criteria, with a genuine reason to overload.

Exemptions will be made in rare cases only.

Petition for Credit Overload will not be opened during Add/Drop.

Important Info:

In order to comply with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, 8-regular semesters (Fall and Spring) guidelines policy, FCCU has adopted the following policy:

Students must take 8 regular semesters (Spring and Fall) to graduate. Summer and Winter terms can be taken as they wish. However, they should only take these terms in order to graduate on time, NOT to attempt to graduate early. While, FCC recognizes degrees once all requirements are complete, HEC will not attest degrees with less than 8 regular semesters taken.

Dr. Haneef ur Rehman joined back University of Turbat after completing Postdoc from UK

Turbat, January 11, 2022 (PPI-OT):Dr. Haneef Ur Rehman, Associate Professor joined back University of Turbat (UoT) after completing the HEC postdoctoral fellowship program at Cambridge Graphene Center (CGC), University of Cambridge, UK. He worked on the production of graphene-based enzymatic biofuel cells. He achieved the project objectives and produced good results which are very interesting and publishable in the journal of international repute.

He built up strong collaboration and network with CGC University of Cambridge teams. Dr. Haneef Ur Rehman also facilitated several candidates for obtaining host acceptance letters to apply for the next HEC postdoc fellowship program from the University of Cambridge, Oxford University, and Imperial College London through his strong network with these organizations during the project. He also designed a collaborative project with CGC, the University of Cambridge for the HEC local challenge fund which has been submitted for consideration.

Around 2000 candidates appear in University of Turbat’s Entrance Examinations

Turbat, January 11, 2022 (PPI-OT):A record number of around 2,000 candidates from different areas of Balochistan appeared in the entry test conducted by the University of Turbat for admission to various Graduate and Master Programs for the university’s spring session 2022. The entry test was conducted on the 8th and 9th of January for admission to 12 academic departments. The candidates included 40 percent female students.

Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Turbat, along with Dr. Mansoor Ahmed Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch, Dean, Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities, and Ganguzar Baloch, UoT’s Registrar visited all entry test centers and appreciated the deans, head of teaching departments, admission cell and administrative staff of the university for conducting the test in an organized and systematic manner.

The Vice-Chancellor has said that it was very encouraging that such a large number of people from all over Balochistan were taking interest in getting admission to the university. This truly depicts the growing trust of the society in the University of Turbat for providing quality education to students all across the province. Moreover, around 500 applications have also been received for admissions in different academic programs of the University of Turbat’s Sub-Campus at Panjgur.

According to the admission cell of the University of Turbat, the admission process in the main campus will be completed with the next week, and classes for the Spring Session of 2022 will commence by the end of January 2022. The University has declared last Saturday and Sunday as working days for the admission test and also provided transportation facilities to all candidates in Turbat city and its adjacent areas.
