Punjab University to take action against students: Spokesman

Lahore, December 04, 2021 (PPI-OT):A Punjab University spokesman has said that a complaint has been filed with the police to take legal action while the administration will expel all those students involved in the incident of vandalism on Friday according to law. In a press statement, the spokesman said that the activists of Islami Jamiat Talba have ransacked the office of the Registrar and other allied offices after a fight which erupted among some students and some outsiders near the main cafeteria.

He said that the university had taken measures to establish peace on campus and only a few dozen students on all sides are trying to disturb the peaceful environment of the university. He said that the administration was identifying these students with the help of footages and a strict action will be taken against them as per law.

Punjab University’s 130th convocation to be held on December 18 

Lahore, December 04, 2021 (PPI-OT):Punjab University’s 130th convocation will be held on December 18, 2021. In this regard, PU VC Prof Niaz Ahmad Akhtar has set up various committees to review the arrangements. Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Saleem Mazhar will be the convener of the Coordination Committee while degrees and medals will be awarded to BS, Masters, MPhil and PhD students at the convocation.

Punjab University IAP played its role in promotion of Arts and Crafts Exhibition to encourage the inmates of Punjab Institute of Mental Health, Lahore 

Lahore, December 04, 2021 (PPI-OT):Institute of Applied Psychology, University of the Punjab played its role in promotion of Arts and Crafts Exhibition to encourage the inmates of Punjab Institute of Mental Health (PIMH), Lahore. Prof. Dr. Rafia Rafique; Professor/ Director, Institute of Applied Psychology led the students who represented IAP and actively participated.

Such activities promote occupational therapy of the inmates facilitating their abilities to adapt, help them organize and sustain positive mental health and well-being. Along with relishing the paintings exhibited at Alhamra Arts Council, stalls of vases, bangles, tie and dye shirts, cushion covers and tea engrossed the attention of the visitors as well.

Clean Water Project Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Solidarity with persons of distinguished importance 

Lahore, December 04, 2021 (PPI-OT):Alkhidmat Foundation on the eve of International Day of Disabled Persons organised awareness walks in different parts of the country. Wheelchairs were also distributed among the deserving people. Alkhidmat Foundation has so far given away wheelchairs to more than 20,000 people. The aim of observing this days is to foster awareness of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities so that their talents and uniqueness is utilized for the development of society.
