متحدہ عرب امارات کی جانب سے ہندوستانیوں کے لئے سفری پابندی میں توسیع سے تارکین بیرون ملک پھنس گئے

لندن، 25 جولائی، 2021 / پی آر نیوز وائیر / — متحدہ عرب امارات نے کوویڈ سے منسلکہ رہنما ہدایات کی وجہ سے ہندوستان اور جنوبی ایشیاء کے کئی دوسرے ممالک سے آنے والے مسافروں کے لئے پابندی میں توسیع کردی ہے۔ اتحاد ایئر لائن کے مطابق یہ پابندی 31 جولائی تک برقرار رہے گی۔ تاہم، دیگر ایئر لائنز کا کہنا ہے کہ یہ جائزہ حکومت کے زیر التوا ہے۔ اس توسیع میں متحدہ عرب امارات کے شہری، سفارت کار یا ملک میں سرمایہ کاری کا ویزا رکھنے والے افراد کو شامل نہیں کیا گیا ہے۔ نہ ہی اس میں مکمل طور پر حفاظتی ٹیکے لگوانے والے وہ مسافر شامل ہیں جو رہائشی ویزا رکھتے ہیں اور 23 جون سے اب تک تین ٹیسٹ کرواچکے ہیں۔

The National Men’s Baseball Championship will be held in September 2021

Lahore, July 26, 2021 (PPI-OT):Pakistan Federation Baseball has announced to hold the 24th National Men’s Baseball Championship in September 2021. According to Federation President Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, the 24th National Men’s Baseball Championship will be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from September 6 to 11, 2021. Teams from Pakistan Army, Pakistan WAPDA, Pakistan Police, H.E.C, Pakistan Railways, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan will participate in the event.

According to Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, the Baseball Federation of Asia has postponed the 15th West Asia Baseball Cup to be held in Iran this year. As Pakistan was the runner-up team in the 14th West Asia Cup, Pakistan has qualified for the 30th Asian Baseball Championship to be played in Taiwan in December 2021. Other teams including Japan, Taiwan, Korea, China, Philippines, Thailand and Sri Lanka will participate in the event. In this regard, the Pakistan Federation Baseball Federation has received a letter from the Baseball Federation of Asia.

Syed Fakhar Shah added that the Federation’s Selection Committee will select talented players for the National Training Camp of Pakistan Team during the National Baseball Championship for the participation in Asian Baseball Championship in Taiwan. The three participating teams in the Asian Championship are Japan, Taiwan and Korea in the World Top Three while Pakistan is ranked 26th in the world. Compared to the facilities available for baseball in these countries, Pakistan does not even have a regular ground for baseball. If the government cooperates and provides grounds for baseball in the country, Pakistan’s ranking can be further improved. To prepare for the tournament, the federation is keen to set up Training Camp of Pakistan Team in collaboration with the Pakistan Sports Board in Lahore or Islamabad so that the best team can be prepared.

ACCA publishes its Report on Regulation

Islamabad, July 26, 2021 (PPI-OT):An overview of ACCA’s regulatory activities for 2020 is published today, covering qualifications and examinations, developing ACCA’s continuing professional development framework, members’ licensing, monitoring work, and the investigation of complaints and discipline of members, affiliates, students and firms.

The report explains how the independent Regulatory Board, which provides general oversight of ACCA’s regulatory arrangements, works with the ACCA team to ensure arrangements are robust, transparent, proportionate and in the public interest.

Lucy Winskell, Chair of the Regulatory Board says: ‘Like all organisations, ACCA has felt the full force of the restrictions the pandemic has brought. Unsurprisingly, ACCA’s regulatory activities, from examinations, to monitoring of firms, to complaints handling, to CPD compliance and monitoring, have been impacted. But ACCA has found new ways of working to mitigate risks where it can – such as introducing remotely invigilated exams in June 2020 to ensure students can continue their journey to ACCA membership.

‘Regulation is ultimately a risk management exercise and the Board’s terms of reference now include an explicit reference to our role in monitoring regulatory risk to ensure that the balance between risk to the public interest and commercial opportunities is maintained.’

The report explains that in response to the global pandemic, ACCA worked quickly to ensure it could continue to fulfil statutory responsibilities and protect the public interest. It moved to virtual approaches across the range of its regulatory responsibilities to support the effective and efficient delivery of these activities – including the introduction of virtual hearings for all committees, embracing remote inspections for audit monitoring, approved employers and anti-money laundering activities.

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti awards a cheque of Rs one lakh to Arshad Nadeem at largely-attended send-off ceremony

Lahore, July 26, 2021 (PPI-OT):Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti expressed his hope that country’s premier javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem will live up to the expectations of the nation at Olympic Games 2021 scheduled to be held at Tokyo, Japan from July 23 to August 8, 2021; he said this while talking to media at a largely-attended send-off ceremony in honour of Arshad Nadeem at Punjab Stadium on Friday.
