2 Days Workshop held on Mastering Digital Media for NPOs 

Lahore, November 19, 2021 (PPI-OT):A two-days training workshop was organized by Alkhidmat Foundation’s Office of Media and Marketing here at Alkhidmat Complex, Lahore. The workshop aimed to equip Alkhidmat’s regional office-bearers as well as representatives of other non-profit organizations with the necessary skills and tools about how to beat the potential of social media platforms by mastering up essential key skills.

The workshop titled “Mastering Digital Media for NPOs” was organized by Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan in collaboration with the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore. The core objective of the training workshop was to equip and build the capacity of the individuals associated with non-profit organizations with modern social media tools and techniques for digital prominence and to accomplish organizational goals and skills.

As many as 80 participants attended the training workshop from across the country. In the concluding discussion of the workshop participants were found to be confident and energetic to utilize the gained knowledge, skills and training for the betterment of their professional careers and the community as a whole. They were also determined to bring constructive change through digital campaigns.

During the training workshop, the trainers emphasized the importance of digital prominence, techniques of crowdfunding, event marketing, cyber laws and community standards and other latest topics. About the significance of social media, the trainers said this platform is cost-effective for non-profit organizations for creating awareness, generating funding, advocacy and inspiring people to opt for volunteerism.

During the two-day training workshop, interactive sessions, in-person group activities, technical demos, networking and practice sessions were also carried out to brainstorm modern trends and tools of digital communications. President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Muhammad Abdus Shakoor, Secretary General, Shahid Iqbal, Vice-President, Dr Muhammad Mushtaq Mangat also addressed the workshop followed by the speakers from various exert fields. Certificates were also distributed among the participants.
